BR2-8 The Witches Of Pendle

I read The Witches of Pendle. This story is about 1600s in England. Jennet Device was poor. In 1634 spring, Jennet was in prison with twenty women suspected as a witch. She had no hope for her future. One day Mr. Webster came to see Jennet.

After Jennet met Mr. Webster, she remembered her childhood. She lived with her mother, sister, brother, grandmother and dog. Jennet's father was dead. It caused the family to be poorer. When Jennet was 9 years old, her life began to change. Her mother and grandmother were ill. Her sister, Alizon went out to get some bread. Jennet followed her with dog. They met fat and rich man. His name was John Law. Alizon asked him to give her money to buy some foods. But John didn't answer. So Alizon asked again. John finally answered but it made Alizon angry. She ordered her dog to get John. John fell down and he couldn't move on himself. Jennet called the villagers. They helped John and said Alizon a witch.

Roger Nowell who was rich and important man in Lancashire came to see Alizon. Jennet's family went Malkin Tower and asked some questions. In the question, Alizon admitted she cursed John. Mr. Nowell wanted to meet Jennet's grandmother. Mr. Nowell and his men came to see Old Dendike. She admitted she is a witch and she can kill the people. Alizon and Old Dendike were caught in Lancaster Castle.

April 10th in Jennet's house, there are many people, Jennet's family and some friends and poor people. They drunk and ate and talked. They also planned to help Alison and Old Dendike and curse the guards.

Jennet was afraid of that. She decided to go Mr. Nowell's house and talk the truth. Her brother, James followed her. Mr. Nowell's welcomed them and gave bread and milk. Jennet told Mr. Nowell to witch. But James admitted he is a witch in front of Mr. Nowell.

April 27th the guards took Jennet's mother and James to Lancaster Castle. Jennet lived with Mr. Nowell. Her life was getting better. But one day Jennet met her family, they were thin and dirty. Old Dendike was already dead.

Unfortunately Jennet was suspended as a witch, because of her family name. She was put in prison. She waited the day she dies. (388 words/ 6242 words)

1. What is your usual writing/blogging schedule each week? Where do write/blog?

Mostly I write blog posts on Wednesday. I write posts in class and home.

2. Please look at your first post from Spring term and compare it with what you are writing now. What improvements do you see with your English and what do you think you should work on to improve?

Spring semester's post was not long. I can write longer than before. I need more vocabrary to express what I think.

3. What are your opinions of doing movie reviews? Please talk about the time it takes and the availability of the movies.

It's good to improve not only English writing ability but also listening ability.

If I made some mistakes on my blog, I want teacher to correct them or give some advices.

List 6 My Favorite McDonalds menus

Today I want to introduce my favorite menus of my part-time job's McDonalds. But remember, my favorite menus changes often. So these are my favorites NOW.

1. TERIYAKI MAC BURGER: I don't know there is a TERIYAKI burger in America. This is nice burger. It includes pork patty, mayonnaise souse, TERIYAKI souse, some lettuces..

2. JUICY CHICKEN BURGER: It's a spicy burger. I love spicy foods. It includes spicy chicken patty, myonnaise souse, some lettuces. It's easy to make.


3. BIG MAC BURGER: Recently I eat this burger often. Because I become very hungly in break. I eat this and start work again. But watch out!!! This is high calorie burger. Maybe because of this I recently gain weight. Making this burger is a little bit difficult. It includes 2 meat patty, onions, big mac souse, lettuces, 2 pickles and cheese

BR2-7 The President's Murderer

I read The President's Murderer. I think this story is a kind of irony or something.

Story: Alex Dinnon was running in the night. He was running away from the police. Felix(inspector) was chasing him. But Alex somehow could run away from them.

The next morning, Alex was from south of the prison. There were no people. So he decided to sleep a little. But when he opened his eyes, there was an old woman. She said "What are you doing in my field, young man?" Alex said "I'm sorry". Surprisingly she invited him to her house. The old woman's name was Marta. Marta serves some foods. Suddenly she said "How did you escape from prison?". Alex's face went white. But Marta laughed. She wasn't afraid of president's murder. She hated the police. She treated Alex one night.

The next morning, Felix and his subordinate Adam came Marta's house. They asked about Alex. But Marta didn't say about Alex. Felix and Adam didn't get anything. Chief of Police got angry, because the president really wants to put Alex in prison again.

After Alex left Marta's house, he moved quickly. He wondered where to go now. But he were hungry and he had some money from Marta. So he decided to go to shop to get food. There were many people. And he waited behind them. People looked at him, and a man went out quickly. Alex wanted to run but he waited because of starving. The boy came up to Alex and said "There are two police men in the street and they are coming here". But Alex couldn't escape at that time. But the shopkeeper called him and told another door. When Alex get out form the shop, the shopkeeper said "I never help the police-they're all bad".

Alex left for his wife's house. He met his wife. When they were talking, his Olivia(Alex's wife) noticed Alex's hands. Alex's hand was cut　and burned, because he didn't say anything about the president's murderer. In fact Alex was not the president's murderer. The police knew the true president's murderer. They were afraid Alex tells the president's murderer.

The police found the Alex's house. They brought many army’s and went to the Alex's house. Alex decided to leave the house. Of cause he knew there are many police and armys around the house. Alex went out the house. He was shot by army.

Felix was wondering. Felix found out what a cruel the police are. He argued with chief. But the chief didn't listen his idea. Felix disappointed his work and left.(431 words/5689 words)

Last weekend

My weekend started from Thursday because of Takumasai.

On Thursday I woke up at 13:00. Wednesday night I went to karaoke and sang 6 hours with friends from 23:00 to 5:00. After I woke up, I left my friend's house and went to another karaoke. I sang two hours from 14:00 to 16:00. I went back home and ate dinner and went to my part-time job. I worked from 18:00 to 23:30. I went back home, took a bath and went to bed.

On Friday I woke up at 7:00. Because this Friday's part-time job started at 8:00. I haven't worked this early time before. That's why I was very nervous. But fortunately, my senpai helped me. I could finish my first two hours job. After that our McDonalds became busy. And at that time, there were 4 people to work. We worked hard. Somehow we did it.

On Saturday I worked from 10:00 to 18:00. Saturday is one of busy days. This Saturday was also busy day. I wanted to give up from first two hours past. But of course I couldn't haha. I worked 5 hours and 1 hour break and worked again 2 hours. At break, I ate lunch. After that I almost slept. After two hours job was much easier than first 5 hours. I went home and ate dinner and took a bath. Then I turned on computer and checked emails, facebook and mysapce. I got so much information from these. And I started to skype with my girl friend. Every time skype time is happy for me. She lives far away from my house, so I can't meet face to face without skype. I want to thank this technology. I talked 3 hours, I think. And I went to bed.

On Sunday today was family trip day for my mother and grandmother. We left home at 9:00 and went to水俣. On the way we dropped park. I don't know the name of it. But this park was interesting. Every play ground equipment was related New Zealand. My brothers and cousins very enjoyed. Of course I did too. After that we checked in our旅館. Before dinner my father, Hitoshi, Atushi and I went to hot spring of旅館. It was so nice. There were 4 different type of hot spring. This time I bathed two of them. The dinner was awesome. There were almost sea foods, like sashimi and something like that. I ate too much and felt sleepy. So I went back my room and slept 3 hours, maybe? But it was almost 22:00. And next day, I had to get up early. So I went to bed again.

On Monday I woke up at 5:00, because today was fishing day. We aimed cutlass fishes. It was still dark outside. But it was good for fishing. In this fishing, we didn't use rod. We used just line and fish bait. Feeling is important in this kid of fishing. But Hitoshi, my cousin and I were not good at fishing, so we were scold by fisherman. Oh! We rode boat and went fishing. We caught many cutlass fishes and squids. Squids were very interesting. When we catch them, they squirted ink. And we got ink and also boat got ink too. Hitoshi got sick and gave up at first one hour. Probably he slept 2 hours in boat. I got 4 cutlass fishes and 2 squids. After fishing we went back our 旅館and ate breakfast quickly. Because we had to check out at 10:00. And at that time it was 9:00. Atushi and I ate breakfast very quickly and went to hot spring. Because we felt cold. We bathed another hot spring. It was cave hot spring. It was really nice. After bathing, we felt good. We prepared to leave and left ryokan. We went to スペイン館and bought some souvenir. In スペイン館, I could taste many kind of jam and juices. Each was good. I bought some bread for 80 yen each at there. We rode car and left there. In the car, I slept many hours. So I skipped lunch( I didn't want to). We dropped some 道の駅. But I didn't notice, because I was sleeping. But I woke up last 道の駅 that we went. I could see special product of there. And fortunately I could see local amateur band. They covered famous songs, like "Change the world" and some Japanese songs. They were good band. We arrived at home. But today was Monday. I had to go guitar lesson. I couldn't concentrate at lesson. But I did. After lesson, I went back home and ate dinner. I t was delicious. Because it was sashimi that we caught this morning. It was fresh and taste really good.

That is my weekend. It was busy. But trip was special for me. Because recently my family didn't spend together like this trip. We are all busy and we live different time. I live in night time. The others are day time. haha.(861 words/5258 words)

New Boss

My part-time job is McDonalds. I work there 4 times a week. Usually weekend is so busy. Our McDonalds are located in shopping mall. Many families come to our restaurant. In addition, sometime our restaurant doesn't get enough people to run our restaurant. It makes us very busy.

And from November 1st, new boss has been working together. She is 28 years old and beautiful. BUT she is strict. My part-time job friends and I already miss previous boss. He was very big and fat. When I worked with him, I hate him.

BR2-6 Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp

I read Aladdin's story. It's a little bit different from Disney's one, I think.

In Arabia, there is a poor young man living with his mother. He lost his father five years ago and he never works. He is very lazy man.

One day he met Abanazar. He was rich and he said Aladdin to he is Aladdin's uncle. He gave money and good clothe.

The other day Abanazar took Aladdin to out of the city and he used magic and made fire. Suddenly the ground under the fire began to open. Abanazar order Aladdin to take an old lamp, because this lamp is special. The lamp has jinnee (He obeys everything, if you have lamp). Aladdin tried to get lamp, but he first took some fruits, so he couldn't get lamp. Abanazar got angly and closed the door.

Aladdin couldn't get out of the underground. But he remembered the ring that he got from Abanazar and rubbed it. Suddenly jinnee came out. Aladdin wished to get out from here. And he could go home with lamp.

When Aladdin came home, he slept many hours and woke up. He felt hungry. But there were no food. He thought to sell lamp and gave it to his mother. His mother rubbed it. And jinnee came out. They ordered to bring some foods. Jinnee brought many foods with gold plate. They ate and ate and sold plate. They gradually became rich.

One day Aladdin saw a beautiful woman. She is daughter of the sultan. Aladdin immediately fell in love with her. He wanted her, so he gave some jewels for princess Badr-al Budur through his mother. But to marry with princess was difficult. The sultan required more beauty jewels with gold plate, forty slave girls and forty slaves. But Aladdin did because of lamp. And he married with princess.

Abanazar got to know about Aladdin and got angry again. He went to Arabia again to get lamp. When Aladdin went hunting, Abanazar came to Aladdin's palace and asked to exchange new lamp to old. Princess exchanged Aladdn's old lamp to new. Abanazar moved away quikly and called jinnee. He ordered to move Aladdin's palace, garden and princess to Morocco.

After hunting, Aladdin was very surprised. There was no his palace, garden and princess. Moreover the sultan said to Aladdin “If you can't find princess in 30 days, you are killed". Aladdin cried, but he thought his ring and rubbed. Jinnee came out and took Aladdin to Morocco.

Aladdin met princess and told "Please you must give him a drink with sleeping powder". After Abanazar came back, princess gave him drink. After five seconds, he fell asleep. Aladdin called jinnee and killed Abanazar.

Aladdin and princess came back Arabia and lived happily in their palace.(462 words/4294 words)
